Rules

The Rising Star: Alliance tournament is a competition for new Alliance clans. The only entrance requirement is that the team has not taken part in the main Alliance competition. Teams may include players that have already played for other teams in the main Alliance League.

Teams must field at least three players and no more than seven. The number of individual games to be played in a match will be determined by the team with the least number of players. So if one team fields seven players and another five then only five games will be played. The only exception to this is if both team captains agree then one of the players from the team who are short a player may play twice.

Before the Match

Captains must submit their lineups by the date published in the competition schedule. If no line up is submitted then the line up used will be that listed for the team on the Alliance site.

Starting Games

Game challenges must be issued within seven days of the match’s start date. If a challenge is not issued in this time then the challenging player is liable for a 20-0 default loss. If the challenged player does not respond to the challenge within seven days of the match’s start date then they will be liable for the default loss. If a challenge is sent at the end of the first week then the challenged player will have 2 days to respond. This may take the start of the game beyond the first week.

Challenges should be issued with the following settings:
Force Points: 20
Turns: 30
Time Limit: 30 Days
All games should be friendlies unless both players agree otherwise.
Any faction may be deployed and there are no unit restrictions.
No games should be played using a Beta version of the LSN client unless both players agree otherwise.

Finishing Games

Individual games must be completed by the date published in the competition schedule. If the match is not completed within this time then Daryl’s Rule will be applied. Details of Daryl’s Rule can be found in the main Alliance rules.

Match Result

The result of a match is determined by the points scored in the team’s individual matches being totaled to determine the overall winner.
